Bras for two-year-old girls create scandal

Many "disgusted" mothers have complained to John Lewis, a large British chain of stores. The reason for these complaints? A floral bra, sold on the brand's website and intended for two-year-old girls!

Of course, this initiative caused an uproar on the web, the reactions of parents, scandalized, multiplying. A spokesperson for John Lewis has however assured that it was an error, as can be read on the site 7sur7.be. These bras are said to have actually been created for girls ages 11 and up. However, when you go to the store, it is right next to the vests and skirts for two-year-old girls that the lingerie models are stored.

Girls always more sexual

Two girls bras years create a scandal

Does a two-year-old really need a bra? For Claude Knights, head of Kidscape, an organization fighting to protect children from abuse and violence, this regrettable "mistake" by John Lewis is simply one more step in the hypersexualization of little girls. For him, one cannot read in the same sentence "bra" and "two-year-old child". And he doesn't accept any justification: "Some may try to justify it by saying it's for little girls who want to copy their moms, but we shouldn't encourage toddlers to be aware of their bodies in this way.
