Brussels: 4 vegetarian restaurants that we love

Humus x Hortense

Building on the awareness of no waste and enjoying the title of "Best Vegan Restaurant" at Gault & Millau (2018), Humus x Hortense is the result of a (most successful) merger between chef Nicolas Decloedt and the mixologist Matthew Chaumont. The plate gives pride of place to vegetables, offering them in a thousand and one ways and textures. Explosion of flavors and attention to detail mark the well-deserved reputation of this establishment, which has made its place in the Brussels gastronomic landscape. Since 2021, the restaurant has been crowned with a green star from the Michelin guide for its sustainable approach.

Chickpea

Pois Chiche is a Foodbar concept that offers vegetarian cuisine from the Middle East. The restaurant was founded by two friends who had a mission to provide food that was fast, tasty, healthy and good for the environment. You can go there for lunch during the week, have brunch on the weekend or simply have a drink on the terrace… It is undeniably one of our favorite vegetarian restaurants, we highly recommend it!

TICH healthy living

Like Ali Baba's cave, TICH is a well-kept secret that holds many treasures. This vegan address, far from being boring, defines itself more as a multi-faceted concept store than a proper restaurant. In the “canteen” corner, you can enjoy avocado toast, creamy soups, coffees to die for and pastries without refined sugar. A good reason to have fun without feeling guilty. Then, on the “shop” side, we fall for a sharp selection of natural cosmetics, cookery books, artisanal tableware, ultra-stylish clothes and bulk food.
