When Caroline de Maigret arrives at the Daylight studio in Paris, we are struck by this casual chic look, which has become her signature, both rock and racy. “To feel strong, I would tend to wear a fairly long blazer, because I find the garment elegant and powerful. The shoulders immediately give a certain hold and this pushes you to stand up straight. Without forgetting the hands in the pockets, which bring constancy and a nonchalant attitude.

“A white men’s shirt slightly more open than normal. It's like my best friend, and every time I wear it, I get compliments on my skin tone. But also a leather jacket, I bring back from all my travels, boyfriend jeans (with a preference for fairly thick canvas) and a little black jacket.
The transmission
“At home, my sisters and I were brought up like our brother, with the same freedom. And since we were more of a tomboy, I really looked in the mirror for the first time the day I became a model. That's when I realized that I had a big nose and not a lot of chest, because I was immediately asked to have surgery if I wanted to work. At the time, I was studying at the Sorbonne, and if I worked as a model to be financially independent, I found it absurd that I was asked to change my face to take pictures.
My style
“He went through all the musical genres I listened to. My look was first grunge - my mother thinks that I never got out of it. It then became gothic: I had a transparent black veil that I put on all my looks. Then I started wearing big sneakers, loving punk and hip-hop. And today, Yarol says that my style is rock'n'roll, my friends see me as a chic Parisian, and I find myself rather androgynous.
