TANK TOP AND MARCEL

Today unisex, a tank top is a relatively tight-fitting garment whose shape resembles that of a sleeveless knit. The tank top, camisole or singlet is worn next to the skin. It is low-cut in the front, in the back and on the shoulders, revealing the arms entirely. It is originally an undergarment in ribs or nets. When it has this aspect of white jersey, it is familiarly called in France a "marcel".
